between a father and a son in daly city this morning left both men with serious injuries. it happened at the kron colony apartment complex. daly city police say the father called 911 about 2:30 to report he had been stabbed. officers found the father who is in his 30s, had been stabbed four times. his 19-year-old son had a traumatic head injury. both were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. there's no word yet on what caused the fight or in any charges -- or if any charges will be filed. >> two placer county teenaged girls are accused of drugging one of the girls' parents just to be able to use the internet. the suspects are 16 and 15 years old. they are accused of -- accused of putting sleeping bills in a milk shake -- pimms in a mill -- pills in a milk shake. they wake up feeling groggy and took a drug test. >>> a day-long rally at the state capitol is aimed at providing new protections for the homeless. >> right now, you can't discriminate against persons because of their race, their sex, their age, their condition of prior servitude but there's nothing about homeles
to yourself. >>> developing news now from daly city. a fight between a father and a son turned violent this morning. ktvu's janine de la vega is in daly city to let us know one is recovering from stab wounds. the other from head trauma. janine. >> reporter: yeah, tori. it was the father who was stabbed that police told me they are still waiting to talk to the father and the son who were both pat the hospital to find out what happened here at the crown colony condo complex. this happened on the third floor of the condo belonging to the dad. police say they received a 911 call from the father who is in his mid to late 30s saying he had been stabbed. whenever officers arrived, they found he was suffering from stan wounds, one in his stomach. his son was with him and had a laceration to his head and other trauma. investigators say the two appeared to be fighting over something. they were rushed to sf general and are suffering moisture injuries. the security guard was surprised about all of the commotion because no serious crime has happened here before. >> it's a little scary. i walk aroun

daly city with more. monty? >> reporter: good evening. you cannot just walk into the cow palace and walk out with a gun. that's because here in califoia there's a ten-day waiting period. there are, however, no such restrictions on ammunition. i've seen quite a few people walking out with large boxes of ammo just within the last hour. people lined up here, some of them as early as 4:00 a.m. to get into the annual event at the cow palace called the crossroads of the west gun show. gun show organizers claim they had triple the number of people here compared to last year. we have not been able to verify that, but it's fair to say the turnout here was large and the lines during the day were very long. now, as congress looks at a possible ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, there is already such a ban on assault weapons here in california. still the owner of the gun show says the big turnout this year is being fueled by a fear that the nation's gun laws may change in other ways in light of the tragedy in newtown, connecticut. >> the politicians are attempting to figure

new from daly city after a violent family fight that sent two to the hospital. our news reporter joins us live where what led up to the violent confrontation. >> katie, police just cleared the scene here in daly city, called to the crown colony condominium to respond to a stabbing. they say that they realized a father and a son got into a might and the father was stabbed several times by his 19-year-old son. this shocked the security guards here. >> it is scary no one what it is. i walk around here by myself with nothing but a flashlight and people are stabbing each other so it is unfortunate to hear. >> police say the son was hit in the head during the fight and he is a 19-year-old man. both were taken to the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. >> thank you for that story. developing news from san francisco. police say five men in their 20's used a knife and guns to terrorize residents in the richmond district. the home invasion happened early this morning on 40th avenue. no one was hurt. the armed men stole money, wallets, electronics and luggage but gone when police arrived.
